Visual expression workshop
Production of a documentary using video, photography and graphics, we will speak with images.
We will learn the different phases of documentary production, as well as how to use image editing programmes and video Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 and Adobe Premiere Elements 11.
Using art as a tool for communication and cohesion, expression and social protest.
How will we face the future? What do we like and dislike in our environment?
With the collaboration of ADOBE YOUTH VOICES.
Who is the workshop aimed at?
The workshop is open to young people of 13 to 18 years, with a critical spirit, and the urge to express their concerns and hopes.
The workshop is free.

Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny in Vic (Rambla de Sant Domènec, 24 Vic)
When?
October 16th, 2013 to February 26th, 2014 (18 sessions of 1hr 30 mins)

The inscription period will end the 9th Octuber 2013.
Theme:
Young participants will decide the specific content of their work, based on themes reflecting on our social environment (gang, friends, community, school, environment, city, identity, human relationships, the future ...)
Methodology:
During the workshop we will learn the various stages of making a documentary:
● Pre -production - Choosing the subject, documentation, planning, script and storyboard.
● Filming
● Post-production - editing and assembling the final piece.
Objectives:
- To give support to young people, encouraging them to externalise their thoughts and concerns in a creative way. Youngsters lead the project, choose the theme and organise a group to carry out the proposal.
- To provide young people with
- Personal expression (to express their point of view)
- Ability to devise and innovate
- Ability to work collectively
- Ability to adapt to the decisions of the group
- Critical and social thought
- To choose the focus of the project, for example the community, using new technologies to support youth activism and positioning towards the immediate environment.
- To provide participants with introductory knowledge of photo and video editing programmes Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 and Adobe Premiere Elements 11.
- To promote the idea that art and communication are tools for social cohesion.
Resultats finals:
Final projects will be exhibited at ACVic Centre d’Arts Contemporànies.
Distribution of the project and its results will take place through the ACVic website [http://acvic.org] and the social networks Facebook and Twitter.
The projects will be upload in Adobe Youth Voices website [http://youthvoices.adobe.com].
