S.P.O.T. iD_CeciVic
Servic io Público de Reutilización de Trastos (S.P.O.T.). [MAKEAtuvida. Associació Cultural de Reutilitzación Creativa]
Facing the current trend of using and throwing away objects, consuming as a road to wellbeing and happiness, S.P.O.T proposes the simulation of an institutional campaign, with the idea that a new object is not always better then an old one that can be used for much more time then we think. The project proposes converting the Touring Device to a mobile workshop for the reuse and creative transformation of objects. It proposes a space where people can go to repair their damaged objects, as it combines elements of DIY and multimedia with a meeting point for the exchange of knowledge and ideas; a space for creation and debate about environmental policies, rational consumption, reuse; a place to think about alternatives and new ways of doing things.

Camping, Caravaning, Arquitecturing. [Miquel Ollé Aguilló, Sofia Mataix Veiga]
This project proposes an empirical and human documentation and analysis of the different architectures created in campsites, where each user designs, constructs and customizes the space according to his needs, and considering as primary functions leisure, resting and recreational and social activities. It is born out of idea that spaces condition and modify human behavior, but in this case it is behavior that changes the space, depending on the needs of each user. The user thus becomes the architect and designer of an alternative architecture that is flexible, cheap and self-managed. In a first phase, the project proposes converting the CX-R to a mobile workshop that will travel to 30 campsites in Catalonia for data collection and analysis, and later edit a documentary with the collected material. The second part of the project consists in converting the CX-R to an exhibition space to be used to present the documentary.

The selection committee was formed by Jesús Carrillo (Director of Departamento de Actividades Públicas del Museo Nacional Centr de Arte Reina Sofía), Pep Dardanyà (director of Can Xalant Centre de Creació i Pensament Contemporani de Mataró), Pilar Bonet (historian, art critic and professor of art and contemporary design at the Universitat de Barcelona), Jordi Canudas (visual artist and professor at the Escola Massana Centre d’Art and Disseny-UAB), Ramon Parramon (director of ACVIC and Idensitat), Martí Peran (curator and professor of theory of Art at the Universitat de Barcelona) and Cristina Riera (cultural manager and responsible of I+D Trànsit Projectes).
